A young girl has suffered major facial injuries after she was mauled by a dog in Perth’s northern suburbs.
The girl, who is under the age of 10, was attacked outside a home in Hillary, a coastal suburb located in the metropolitan area of Perth.
St John WA were called to the scene around 3:40pm on Wednesday, March 4 before she was rushed to Perth Children’s Hospital.

A hospital spokeswoman said the girl is in stable condition.
The City of Joondalup, the local government area where Hillary is located, said it “takes all dog attack report seriously and is investigating the incident as a matter of priority”.
“The City has impounded the dog to remove the risk to local residents and the wider community,” a council spokesperson said in a statement.
