Trump Praises Peace Deal Framework With Iran

On Monday, the U.S. and Iran signed a preliminary peace deal, but the terms of the agreement remained a secret. While the U.S. and Iranian officials made conflicting statements about the deal’s terms, it was clear that the deal’s immediate scope was focused primarily on ending military attacks and allowing traffic to resume through the Strait of Hormuz.

And the main thing is that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. They fully agree to that, with strong policing powers. And the strait is already partially opened, as you know. They’re doing a little hunting for a couple of mines. So I don’t think we’re going to need much help. But I don’t think it’s a bad idea to have a ship or two up here from a few countries. You’d be a great country to do it.
