A crash on the Mitchell Freeway has kicked off heavy congestion ahead of the peak-hour crunch on Friday afternoon.
The left lane of the freeway southbound has been closed at Mounts Bay Road as a result of the crash.
A short clip shared by Main Roads at 2.57pm shows traffic mayhem with dozens of cars backed up out of frame.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully in the area as traffic is heavy on approach.
Towing services are at the scene.
