Police flooded an area of East Victoria Park on Friday night after a serious incident.
Traffic police on motorbikes diverted traffic near the corner of Berwick and Whittlesford streets.
Berwick Street was closed from Hillview Terrace to Langler street.
An ambulance attended the scene.
People took to Facebook, with one person writing “Berwick Street blocked off, police and ambulance present across from Carson Street School”.
Another wrote “confirmed hit and run” before the comment was deleted.
