A chlorine leak has been identified at the Collie Heated Swimming Pool.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services issued a general warning for a gas leak in Collie near the intersection of Throssell Street and Steere Street South.
The chlorine leak is potentially impacting residents in the area bounded by Throssell Street, Prinsep Street South, Wittenoom Street and Patterson Street including surrounding areas.
Throssell Street between Princep Street South and Steere Street South have been closed.
Residents have been urged to stay inside, out of the smoke or fumes, with doors and windows closed and air conditioners shut off.
Firefighters are on the scene and locals have been advised to stay away from the area.
