A 32-year-old man has been charged with 13 offences following a car chase which ended in a shopping centre carpark in Maddington.
Police say they activated their lights and sirens after a black Mitsubishi four-wheel drive allegedly failed to stop and sped away on Roe Highway, Cannington, about 6.45am on Tuesday.
The 4WD was tracked to a shops in Maddington, where it was boxed in by police.
The 32-year-old driver, from Rivervale, was arrested and charged with 13 offences, including stealing, driving with a blood alcohol limit of 0.08 per cent or higher and four counts of assault to prevent arrest.
Bail was refused and he will front Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
