BEIJING: Boeing delivered a new 787-9 aircraft to China’s Juneyao Airlines on Saturday (Jun 14), Chinese media outlet Yicai reported, as trade tensions between Beijing and Washington ease. The delivery comes two days after a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 242 people on board crashed in a fireball shortly after take-off in western India. Boeing and Juneyao Airlines did not immediately reply to Reuters requests for comment on the Yicai report. The United States Marines have deployed to Los Angeles following criticism and legal battles over whether President Donald Trump had the authority to use the military to quell civilian protests without state approval. PHNOM PENH: Thai and Cambodian officials met on Saturday (Jun 14) to try to ease tensions amid fears of military clashes after a long-running territorial dispute reignited, leading both countries to mobilise troops on the border. Roughly 60 people who were protesting President Trump’s Army anniversary parade and his deployment of National Guard troops in Los Angeles were arrested outside the U.S. Capitol Friday, authorities said.  The situation unfolded with approximately 75 people protesting at the Supreme Court Friday evening, Capitol Police said in a statement.
