Hugh Jackman has moved to finally cut his remaining ties with ex Deborra-Lee Furness, and is taking a big financial hit to get it done.
Weeks before his first appearance on the Met Gala red carpet with new love and Music Man co-star Sutton Foster, Jackman moved to list the luxury Manhattan penthouse he had shared with his ex-wife.
Jackman, 57, and Furness, 70, bought the property in 2008 for A$29.1m (USD$21.1m).
The former couple first listed the penthouse in June 2022 for $53.7 million (USD$38.9m), less than a year before they announced their separation but took it off the market just two months later and instead rented it out for $180,000 ($US125,000).
Now, a year after their divorce was finalised, it has been relisted with a hefty $16m price cut — at a price guide of $39.7m (USD$28.7m).

It has been reported that Jackman had been living in the penthouse with Foster, 51, while they hunted for their “perfect family home”. A situation said to have “shattered” Furness.
“Deb is shattered knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own — the place she poured her soul into,” a source told Sky News at the time.
The sprawling New York City penthouse occupies floors 8, 9 and 10 of a 15 storey high-rise and offers spectacular views across the Hudson River.

Described a a “modernist masterpiece” in the listing it was designed by renowned architect Richard Meier.
Across a total of 1021sqm, the penthouse features five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two powder rooms, a library, multiple living zones and home office.
A giant main bedroom occupies the top floor with a spacious dressing area, ensuite bathroom, sauna and home gym.

Located on the middle level is a space called the “great room” with a sculptural staircase leading to the floor above, also on this floor is a kitchen with butler’s pantry, dining room, wine storage space and second home office.
It is understood that as part of their divorce agreement profits from the remaining properties in their portfolio would be split between Jackman and Furness.

Furness was reportedly hurt by Jackman’s appearance with Foster at the Met Gala this week.
“Deb had been warned Hugh would be appearing with Sutton but it still felt like a knife to the heart seeing them there,” an insider told New Idea.
“This was her and Hugh’s ‘big night out’ for the year and they were there side-by-side, just like Sutton is today, just four years ago.”
